The oldest and only major aviation magazine on the Polish publishing market, addressed to everyone with a professional and hobby interest in aviation. Founded in 1930, awarded the FAI Honorary Diploma in 1966. Every issue includes extensive coverage of a selected topic, and news from the world of Polish and global aviation. The magazine also publishes analyses of selected trends in aviation, picture stories, and hobby corners. The most popular regular sections are Z lotu po kraju (Flying Around Poland), Z lotu po swiecie (Flying Around the World), Sekrety Wschodu (Secrets of the East), Lotnictwo Wojskowe (Military Aviation), Z wiatrem w zawody (Competing Against the Wind), Modelarstwo (Model Making), Klub 1:72 (1:72 Club).
Every year the editors present their prestigious awards to great people of Polish aviation, the most well-known awards being the Blue Wings (awarded together with the National Aviation Council), the Golden Ten Aviation Sportsmen of the Year, and the Five Military Pilots of the Year.
The editors and publishers of Skrzydlata Polska take part in organizing the largest aviation events in Poland: the Aviators' Ball, Air Picnics (Góraszka, Dwa Żywioły - Dwie Pasje (Two Elements - Two Passions) – an event held in association with yachtsmen), air shows (including the Air Show held in Radom since 2000), and competitions (including the Mountain Hot-Air Balloon Polish Championships in Krosno).
Several special issues (also in English) are published every year, most often concurrently with anniversary and community events.
