16th Polish Defence Exhibition MSPO 2008 in Kielce has to be challenged as every year with the previous events. Every year MSPO is rising bigger and bigger. Last year 364 exhibitors from 21 countries presented their products and offered services. This year MSPO 2008 Kielce expects 390 exhibitors from 22 countries.
Long time ago MSPO in Kielce took and enforced their leading position between the ranks of defence exhibitions in Central Europe. Currently MSPO in Kielce are ranked no. 3 in the whole Old Europe scale of defence exhibitions, after the London DSEi and Paris Eurosatory. Putting under the consideration the other European countries massive scale of defence spending that has to be appreciated, as MSPO organizers extraordinary achievement.
Year by year city of Kielce-located MSPOs are more impressive and more interesting for visitors aside from the fact that Polish Defence Idustry suffered tremendous decline of the period of the end of 20th Century and the very beginning of 21st Century. No wonder because the Poland is and will be the greatest defence market of the whole region of the Central Europe. Prospects are even more clear: everybody can rely on Polish National Defence Ministry’s distinctively growth of the financial resources destined for armed forces modernizing spending. But only if the special Parliamentarian Act, which enables Polish Government to have 1.95% of GDP for defence disposal, would not be changed. This is the factor, which could obviously inspire defence producers. Even more considering the Polish Armed Forces modernizing needs are bigger than the financial possibilities of procurement...
Last year MSPO 2007 Exhibition visited around 8500 visitors. Between them there were most prominent 48 official delegations and 28 delegations from foreign countries. Hired area of defence products and services for armed forces and for special force presentations achieved record of 20 050 square meters. Again MSPO 2007 was the arena of dynamic military hardware and human skill presentation: the first day of the exhibition started with the Polish Land Force massive drop of 160 paratroopers from the board of 13 transport planes and helicopters. It is a pity that show took place on the area of Maslów-near-by airport, but not over the display arena of the MSPO inside of Kielce.
390 exhibitors from 22 countries declared to come this year to Kielce and present their products and services during the MSPO 2008. This is another record-breaking issue. Also the level of hired exhibition area broke anything record of the past – 22 thousand square meters.
