Record 3 months period over Poland

During 3 first quarters of 2010 Polish airports have been passed by 7,85% more passengers than a year earlier. The recent quarter of the 2010 year was the best in all history of Polish civil aviation.

According to ULC (Polish Civil Aviation Administration) in first 9 months through Polish airports passed 15,931 millions of passengers, what makes 1,16 million more than in similar period of previous year.

Effects of current year are 1,52% below top, 2008, but in 3 quarters of this year Polish airports sent out 6,869 millions of passengers – the highest number in Polish air transport history. In contrast the rise of number of arrivals was much lower. Airports accepted 1,58% more planes than in previous year.

The Warasaw Airport (named after Frederic Chopin ) dominates on this list servicing between Jan. and Sept. 2010 6.664 millions of passengers. Second on the list is Cracow – Balice Airport (named after Johannes Paulus II) with 2,197 millions, third and following next are Katowice Pyrzowice – 1,9 million, Gdansk-Wrzeszcz with 1,7 million, Wrocław Strachowice with 1,25 million, Poznań with 1,1 million, Rzeszów with 326 thousands, Łódz with 322 thousands, Bydgoszcz with 209 thousands , Szczecin with 207,5 thousands and Zielona Góra with 2300 passengers.
