Police caps with an idea

Przemysł zbrojeniowy, 17 kwietnia 2015

Does the cap, as part of the uniform of soldiers and officers, have to be designed along the path of least resistance, lacking imagination and finesse, by copying the dull American baseball cap? No. This is evidenced by the police headgear exhibited by IMS Griffin.

First Base 3 series caps come from Scott Safety, with whom IMS Griffin cooperate. They attract attention by their appearance, which resembles sports peaked caps, worn runners or tennis players, for example. Their style is elegant, not as trivial as the ubiquitous baseball caps. The ventilation mesh inserts that prevent head sweating are a characteristic feature. The shaping of the cap and the adjustment belt located below the occipital bone ensure stable position on the head.

The appearance of First Base 3 caps is not everything. They also provide injury protection for the head. This role is added by protective liners ergonomically adjusted to the shape of the head, which can absorb an impact if necessary. The inserts can be of various types, flexible or solid and harder, and vary in the degree of protection offered. This is an almost perfect solution for users who may be exposed to risks of head injury but do not wear helmets. For these reasons, First Base 3 caps are an example of how a seemingly banal everyday piece of equipment of officers or soldiers can be aesthetic and useful.
